The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit's home is the human body. "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit." Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." In the Old Testament times the Holy Spirit's work as indicated in the Scriptures was in creation, renewing the face of the earth, inspiring men to write the Holy Oracles of God, and coming upon men for special operations and special works of might and leadership. His permanent home then was in the tabernacle, afterwards the temple.

The Holy Spirit did not make His permanent home in the body of man then, because man was spiritually dead, a child of the Devil though he lived under the Blood Covenant and was sheltered by the Atonement Blood. He could not make His home in the human body until man had been recreated. This could not take place until Christ had come and paid the penalty of sin, taken His seat as Mediator, and sent Eternal Life to the men and women who would take Him as Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit's work today is first, that of a convicter of the world. He does this through the preaching of God's Word, through the Living Word in the lives of believers, through the written word, the Scriptures, or spiritual literature. His work in the individual members of the Family of God is that of a Teacher, Guide, Comforter, and Sanctifier. The Holy Spirit's home is in the heart of God's Children, but He does not come into every believe at the New Birth. The New Birth is receiving the life and nature of God. This makes him a child of God and a human temple for the Holy Spirit to indwell. After he is born again, he has a legal right to ask the Holy Spirit to come into his body and make it His home.

How The Kingdom Works

Speak to your body; it will respond to you! Scientist have discovered a part of your brain that is voice activated. If you say, "I'm tired," they found that your brain will hear it and tell your body to prepare for rest. You'll become more tired as you talk "tired." If you say "I feel good" that same part of your brain will start sending endorphines through your body to energize you. The scientific community is discovering what God has said all along. Use your words to command pain to leave! You can speak to your body and make it recover. The anointing is already inside you to heal the sick, cleanse to lepers, and raise the dead. If you're not seeing it manifest, it's not God. Remember, Mark 11:23-24 says speak to your mountain and it shall obey you.

Children of God vs. sons of God

The difference between believers as "children of God" and as "sons of God" is brought out in Rom. 8:14-21. The Spirit bears witness with their spirit that they are "children of God", and, as such, they are His heirs and joint-heirs with Christ. This stresses the fact of their spiritual birth (verses 16 and 17). On the otherhand, "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God". Their conduct gives evidence of the dignity of their relationship and their likeness to His character.

Matt. 5:9 "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God, and verse 44, 45, "Love your enemies and pray for them that persecute you, that ye may become sons of your Father which is an Heaven". The disciples were to do these things not in order that they might become children of God, but that being children they might make the fact manisfest in their character, might "become sons". See 2 Cor. 6:17, 18.

Also, for Scriptures where Jesus by His Holy Spirit and power indwells believers and molds their character in conformity to His likeness, See: Rom. 8:10; Gal. 2:20, 4:19; and Eph. 3:17.

The Prayer Problem

The Prayer Problem is a problem of Faith; and Faith is a problem of the integrity of the Word, of the ability of God to stand back of His promises or the statements of fact in the Word. There is another side of the problem: It is the ability of the believer to stand in the Father's presence without a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority. The real question then, is after we know that God cannot lie or His word cannot be broken "Have I a right to stand in the Father's presence and make my petitions known to Him without condemnation?"

Remember, you are holy and without blame in His sight (Eph. 1:4).

Forget What Manner of Man He Is

"He goeth away and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he is" (James 1:24). The New Creation man, unless he has made a careful study of what he is in Christ, in times of stress or a crisis will forget what "manner of man he is." We have lived so long in the realm of the senses that it is difficult for us to realize what we are in Christ. We unconsciously lapse into the old life, seeing ourselves as we were, and not as we are. Eph. 1:7-9 is not a workable reality for many: "In whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself".

Note the first sentence: "In whom (that is in Christ) we have our redemption" from Satan's dominion, from Satan's authority, for "we have been translated into the kingdom of the son of his love. Jesus has become our Lord, our caretaker, and guarantor of our ability to reign over the forces that once dominated us. We are rich with His riches. We are strong with His strength in the inward man. We should make it a business to affirm constantly what we are and who we are in Christ.

Why We Can't Depend On Sense Knowledge

Every contact that man has ever had with the universe has come to him through his Five Senses. He has gained no knowledge independently of them. We may illustrate the limitation of sense knowledge by the following example: A blind man who has never possessed the sense of sight, could never know anything of color; a deaf man who had never heard, could never know anything of sound. So we also with our Five Senses know nothing except as it has come to our mind through these five channels. In otherwords the vast body of knowlege has come throught experimentation.

It is no wonder that these men who have only contacted the physical through their Sense perception should deny the existence of God, because they cannot find Him in the material world. They cannot find spirit nor soul through their experiments in Chemistry or Biology. You can see why they naturally would rule out the supernatural and why miracles would be impossible to them. You can understand now why a man who has never been Born Again cannot expound the Scriptures and give us their spiritual content. These senses belong to the physical body, and they can only contact matter.

Therefore, man knows only that which is physically discerned. He has learned a great deal about the universe in which he lives but nothing about the Creator. As Voltaire has said, he has been able to study the stars but himself he has not come to know.
Only a man whose mind has been illuminated by the New Birth can know God or understand His Revelation.

Do We Have a Choice Whether To Sin or Not?

Doing or saying the right things are not always an easy thing to do. A person is either going to be ruled by their flesh or by their born again spirit. "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritully minded is life and peace (Rom. 8:6). That is why the Bible says "Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7, New King James), and "Be self controlled and watchful because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom the may devour (verse8). "Resist him, steadfast in the faith; knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world" (verse9). In other words no one is exempt from Satan attacks, but can counter them by saying what Jesus said “Away with you, Satan”(Math. 4:10). So we do have a choice.

Sin Conscience

Being sin conscience is saying that Satan work in humanity was more effectual than what Christ has done in us, because it is a reminder of who we were before we were born again. One of the things God sought to do in our redemption was to eliminate the consciousness of sin because it brings about a sense of guilt, condemnation and inferiority. These characteristics are products of spiritual death which keeps us from entering God's presence, but since we have been born again there is now no condemnation (Rom 8:1), that is why God tells us to come boldly unto the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need (Heb. 4:16).

Under the Old Covenant "It was not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sin, because in those sacrifices there was a remembrance again of sins every year (Heb. 10: 3-4). We are under the New Covenant where Christ has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself (Heb. 9:26), and because of what Christ has done, Scripture says "This is the Covenant I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and there sins and iniquities will I remember no more (Heb. 10:16). So if God is not remembering your sin, why are you? "For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are santified (Heb. 10:14).

People who are sincere about their faith in Christ do not make it a practice of sinning, but if they do it is not counted against them because we are holy and without blame in his sight (Eph. 1:2). This does not mean that because it is not counting against them one should continue to sin, what that does is give Satan place in their lives to bring about destruction because as you know he come to kill, steal and to destroy (John 10:10).

"But God Hath Revealed..."

1 Cor. 2:9, says "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Now, if you stop here, you will think that God hath not revealed to us the things that he have prepared for us; and most Pastors stop at this scripture. But if you read the next verse it says "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God, and verse 16 says, we have the mind of Christ.

Whose Report Will You Believe?

You need to get to where you believe God's report more than the world's. You've crossed over into the spirit realm when God's Word dominates you more than what you can see, taste, hear, smell, and feel. Instead of letting the devil tell you what you can not do or what the doctor say or what your checkbook is telling you, you need to focus your attention on what God says about you, what He says you have, and what He says you can do. Once you do that you'll find it will break the dominion, the power, and the control of the flesh over you.

Jesus As Lord

The Word of God says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Roman: 10:9, King James). It is not enough to take Jesus as your Savior, you must acknowledge His lordship over your life. One of the difficulties that confronts many of us is we wish to have Jesus as Savior but not as our Lord. Many people want Him as their Savior from Hell, but they don't want Him as their Ruler on earth.

If Jesus becomes your Lord, He will want to have His say in regard to the types of books your read, the company you keep, the kind of amusements you enjoy, and the government of your body. He will want to have something to say about your finances, what you do with them, how you make them, and how you use them. He will want to have something to say in regard to marriage, children, and the home. He will want to have His say as to your vocation in life and where you live.

Yes, Jesus wants to enter into every department of your life. This is what make the Christian life blessed. It robs life of its weakness and human guidance and it lifts it into the realm of the supernatural.

Overcome Your Flesh

You overcome by being mindful of what God's Word says about you. When you are Word minded, your are spiritual minded because God's words are spirit and life (John 6:63). In your spirit, you are completely changed, eternal, sanctified, holy and perfected forever. As Jesus is--so are you! If you would dominate yourself with those thoughts, all it would produce is life and peace.

If you mind the things of the flesh, then you will be after the flesh and the physical realm will dominate you. In other words if you are having something other than life and peace, then you are not focusing on His word. In order to release God's power in your life you must overcome the flesh by continually focusing your mind on who you are and what you have in the spirit.

Forgiveness

The Christian life is not just difficult to live, it is impossible. In your flesh, you can not do what the Lord has told you to do. He has commanded you to just bear it when someone insults you. If they slap you on the face, you are to turn the other cheek. If they sue you and take away your coat, you are to give them you cloak also (Matt. 5:39-40). Your natural self, independent of God just want do things like that. The Lord told us to do the opposite. Without supernatural help it is impossible to do what Jesus commanded. That is why Paul said "it is no longer me that lives, but Christ who lives through me" (Gal. 2:20).

In your spirit, you have an unlimited ability to forgive, endure, believe and hope. If you catch yourself saying "I can't put up with this person any longer. I just can not take it anymore" What you are really saying is "I have come to the end of my flesh!" That's good! Now let your spirit take over! Pray, Father, I'm sorry, I have been trying to do this in my own strength, that is why I am frustrated and angry. Forgive me and live your life through me. Help me to walk in the spirit so I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Then start meditating on who you are in Christ.

That is renewing your mind and releasing the supernatural life of God out of your spirit into your soul and body. When your physical mind comes into agreement with your spiritual mind, you can literally begin to forgive, hope, endure and believe in things that you could not have done by your natural self. In your flesh, you cannot overcome, turn the other cheek or forgive someone who have done you wrong. That is why Paul said of his flesh, "O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death" (Rom. 7:24). In other words, Who will deliver me from this flesh, and the next verse says "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom. 7:25).

The Judgement of God, Part 2.

Would it be unjust for God to send someone to hell who did not have the law or accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior?

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). The law was giving to Moses for Hebrew Israelites not the Gentiles, but surely not everyone has heard the name of Jesus or what he has done for them. What about the people that lived before Abraham. The flood of Noah days destroyed all of human life except eight souls. After Abraham death to when Moses was born was about 250 years later.

In Genesis 15:13 Abraham’s descendants was enslaved. The Lord said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. So, did all these people die and go to hell? Does the Bible give us any information about what some of these people may had to face as judgement for their life activity to God? From Adam to Abraham, to Moses receiving the law altogether was about 2150 years. They were not saved and could not be saved because Jesus had not come to give his life for them. God does not love some people more than others.

Romans 2:9-16 explains that every one who does what is wrong will have much trouble and a hard times. All those who do not know the law given to Moses and did what was wrong will die, but they will not be judged by the law. All those who know the law and did what was wrong will be judged by the law. God does not say people are good because they have heard the law, but people who obey the law. Some people do not have the law but they do what the law says because their own hearts tell them to. They have a law of their own, even though they do not know the law, they show that the law is written in their hearts. They know what is right to do and what is wrong to do, their own thoughts or consciences tell them they have done what is wrong or what is right.

Now that's true love for God in his infinite wisdom to have a backup plan to cover all mankind long before Jesus became our savior. God knew that every person would not hear or have heard his inspired word giving by the prophets. God gave man a free will to do or not do and with this he can now judge them fairly, that does not apply to people that have heard or refuse to hear, however, some people will try to replace the Word of God for some self inspiring intellectual speeches but the word tells us that “there is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12, Amplified Bible).

For us that have heard the Word of God, Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life (John 14:6), not the preacher, teacher, church or religious organization. God has given us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth (John 16:13).

Speak To Your Mountain

"Whosoever shall says to this mountain, Be thou removed" (Mark 11:23).

Most Christian are busy talking to God about their mountain instead of talking to their mountain about God. The mountain is your problem, or whatever you want to see changed in your life. Speak to it!

Many people think that is crazy, but Jesus spoke to the fig tree. In fact the Word says that He answered it (Mark 11:14). You can not answer something unless it's been talking to you first. Don't say, "O Lord, I'm sick, please take this disease from me or please remove this debt". That is a violation of what this scripture is telling you to do. You are talking to God about your mountain when you should be talking to your mountain about God. Speak to the sickness, talk to your bills, address your depression, or whatever the problem is. Tell it that God has already set you free. Then, command it to leave you alone, in Jesus name!

The Spirit Realm Is Real

Some people see what God has done in the Scriptures, but then they run into this wall. "The Word says I already have everything, but I don't look blessed, I don't feel blessed, and it sure does not seem like I have the power and anointing of God. There's no tingling in my hands or anywhere else! How can you say that I can heal the sick, raise the dead, and so forth?" It is in the spirit, not the physical realm. These are two different worlds.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

God has imparted perfect wisdom and complete revelation into your born-again spirit. "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding" (Prov. 4:7). Wisdom and understanding are keys that will unlock anything else in life you need. Therefore, draw on that wisdom and receive understanding so that the floodgates of your soul will open up to allow God's truths already in your spirit to manisfest in the physical realm. Yes, you can live a fruitful and fulfilled Christian life!

Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, you will not be able to fully release all of these wonderful realities already present in your born-again spirit. That's why the baptism in the Holy Spirit is so important. Jesus didn't peform any miracles until He received the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:21-22)

Claiming Our Rights

We understand that God created man, and placed him here in the earth and conferred upon him certain legal rights. These rights, man transferred to Satan, God's enemy. This brings the Devil into the plan and so he must be dealt with. The whole scheme of Redemption is God seeking to redeem the human race from Adam's sin, and doing it upon such an equitable basis that it will satisfy the claims of justice, meet the needs of man and defeat Satan on legal grounds. When Jesus paid our penality, he arose from the dead, defeated Satan and broke his dominion and took away his authority and power that he had over God's creation. On the grounds of this victory, the sinner has a legal right to:

1. Accept Jesus Christ as a personal savior.
2. Has a legal right to Eternal Life.
3. Has a legal right to a home in Heaven.
4. Has a legal right to the use of the name of Jesus in prayer.
5. Has a legal right to the Father's protection and care.
6. Has a legal right to a son's and daughter's place in the Family of God.
7. Has a legal right to the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
8. Has a legal right to immortality for the body.
9. Has a legal right to an inheritance in the New Heaven and New Earth.
10. Has a legal right to live with his Father throughout Eternity.

Also, as Christians, there is no excuse for spiritual weakness and poverty when the wealth of Grace and the Love of our great Father God with his wisdom are at our disposal.

The Judgement of God, Part 1.

Can God legitimately judge all mankind fairly without being impartial? Yes, I believe that God can judge mankind fairly.

First of all, to be a judge one must be qualified to satisfy a requirement or meet a specified level of competence, also weigh the evidence or infraction before applying judgment or sentencing.

According to (Romans 2:11) God does not love some people more than others and God dose not show favoritism. Now that’s fair and equal treatment according to God’s word. (John 3:16) states that God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him( the son of God) shall not perish but have eternal life.

Personally, I believe in the total depravity of man, and that man is incapable of performing any work that would change his standing with God. (Roman 3:10) states there are no one righteous no not one. According to (John 14:6) Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through him.

My questions is, do all mankind go to hell if they do not confess Jesus as their lord and savior, and what about the people who lived long ago who never heard of Jesus?

This will be continued in Part 2 of the discussion.

Hell

When the unbeliever die, he is in his spiritual form, goes to Hell to remain there until the Second Resurrection when his old body will be raised full of sin, disease and corruption. Hell is the jail where fallen angels and fallen men are locked up when under indictment until their sentences are passed on them, then they go into what is called in Revelation the Lake of Fire, the Gehenna of the New Testament. The Lake of Fire is the Federal Prison of Eternity, Hell is simply the County Jail.

Isaiah 66:24 speaks of Hell as a place where the "fire is not quenched, and the worm shall not die, an abhorrence to all flesh". In Luke 16:19-31, Jesus gives us a picture of Hell when He talks about "A certain rich man" when in hell he lifted up his eyes. You will notice that although he was in hell, he could see, think and feel. That let's us know that, you do not have to have a body to be you, you only need a body to live on earth.

Your Inner Image

Have anyone ever said to you, "you will never amount to anything" or "you are not good enough" or "you are going to be just like your father or mother, who is no good?". These are lies straight from the pits of hell. The enemy knows that if he can get you to believe these words, he can cause them to become a reality in your life. Roman 10: 10 says, with the heart man believeth, and ye shall have what you say, (Mark 11:23).

2 Peter 2:9 says, Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you have of darkness into his marvellous light. Deuteronomy 28:13 says that you are the head and not the tail, and above only and not beneath and anything you do shall prosper, and that's because even before God made the world He loved us and chose us to be holy and without fault in his eyes (Ephesians 1:4).

Speaking God's Word

Mark 11:23 says, For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. The word of God tells us that we can have what we say, but we keep saying what we have. You are the sum total of what you have been believing and speaking with your mouth. Proverbs 18: 23 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Knowing God through Revelation or the Five Senses?

God created man a spirit being and gave him a body to be the home of his spirit. Through his physical body man was to contact the outward world which was to be his home. The knowledge of this world was to come to him through the medium of his five senses. The purpose of the nervous system was never to reveal God to man; man was to know God through his spirit.

When man died spiritually, that is, became alienated from God, he was left without a channel through which he could know God. It then became necessary for God to meet man on the level of the medium through which he gained his knowledge and that revelation is known to us as the Bible.

Fullness Received

Your spirit was created in righteousness and true holiness when you were born again (Eph. 4:24). Then, the Holy Spirit sealed this purity into your brand-new spirit (Eph. 1:13). Any sin that you committ now in your physical actions cannot penetrate or contaminate your spirit because it's been sanctified and perfected forever (Heb. 10: 10,14; 12:23). Your born-again spirit cannot sin (1 John 3:9).

You have received eternal redemption (Heb. 9:12). This does not encourage you to live in sin but instead give you stability in your life and relationship with God. God is pleased with you because of who you are in the spirit (John 2:24) because you have been united with Christ Jesus (Eph. 1:2).

You Where Created For Intimacy With God

"Blessing" the Lord is ministering to Him. When you say from your heart, "Father, I love you. You are a good God" it blesses Him. He wants you to bless Him because it's the purpose you were originally created for. Pray, "Father, You are a good dad and an awesome God! Thank you for my health, for letting me live in this country, for my opportunities. Instead of spending all your time rebuking the enemy and talking about what you do not have, thank Him for what you do have! Spend 95 percent of your prayer time singing, praising, and worshiping. "Father I love you". Then every once in a while say, "oh, by the way, I lost my job and the bill are due to be paid at the end of the month." In (Phillipian 4:19) you said you will supply all of my need according to your riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Thank you. And rest in His Word.

Unlocking The Spirit Realm

"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess.5:23). Even though God's Word clearly teaches that we are three-part type beings, very few Christians apply this truth in their everyday lives. Understanding spirit, soul, and body unlocks the spirit realm so you can experience who you are and what you have in Christ! Since the spirit realm can't be naturally seen or felt, the only way to accurately perceive spiritual truth is through the Bible. Simply take God's Word and believe it! Jesus said, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63).

Your Answer Is In the Spirit

Many people pray for provisions and then expect God to instantly manisfest their answer. If it does not happen, then they start doubting and say, "God, why haven't you done anything?" No, the Lord has already done His part. He's already commanded financial blessing upon all believers (Deut. 8:18). God has already given every Christian power, anointing, and ability to prosper. (Psalm 35:27) reveals His delight in the prosperity of his servant." In the spirit, there's abundant supply for every born-again believer. (2 Cor. 8:9).

God Himself doesn't give you money. He give you power to get wealth, but He doesn't drop the cash in your wallet directly. The Lord gives you an anointing, an ability and then you must go out and set your hand to something as God will blessed the work of your hands.

The peace of God

Always be full of joy in the Lord. Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell our Heavenly Father what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Phillipians 4:6, New Living Translation).
